EGA Master Mastercut pliers can cut up to 5mm diameter steel. An innovative systems helps them doing so: making the axle closer to the cutting edges, provide a higher leverage with the same effort from the end user, achieving a 60% higher cutting force than standard industrial pliers. On top of that, they can cut steel wires up to 230Kg/mm2 tensile strenght.

Being able to get such a high cutting force without damaging cutting edges is a technologically complex task. It can only be assured by the use of highly accurate micro-hardness testing machines, which provide an indentation of thousandth size of that from a standard hardness tester. On top of that, the use of microscopes help checking the correct geometry of the machining of the cutting edge. Such accurate controls are the key to manufacturing pliers which can stand 60% higher cutting forces than conventional industrial quality pliers.

Besides, Mastercut pliers are coated with the special Titacrom® developed by EGA Master. This coating does not get chipped off lie standard chrome plating, and can resist 30% longer against oxidation.

The range includes combination, long and bend nose, and diagonal cutting pliers, from 160mm up to 235mm.
